During the excavation phase of the project, more and more surprises were unveiled. Mostly being existing underground structures, including old pipes and concrete leaching pools, which were part of the previous structure’s drainage infrastructure. These obstacles were not evident in the initial surveys, but that didn’t stop J. Petrocelli from rolling with the punches and making the best out of an imperfect situation, to create a brand new, highly sustainable building that now houses programs for Life Sciences majors – all 5,000 of them.
